Sattwa, Rajas and Tamas

🍅 Food eaten serves the physical body as well as the subtle bodies.

🥥Feeding the physical body is easier, as many things can nourish it. However, feeding the subtle body is a little more complex.

🌞🔥In nature🌪💧there are 3 types of GUNAS (attributes): Sattwa (balance), Rajas (dynamism) and Tamas (inertia).

🥑 SATTWA is the best type of food, and because it is pure, it helps in spiritual progress without creating impurities in the subtle body. This category refers to vegetables, fruits (vegetarian food).

🥑 AVOCADO is one of the best sattwa foods. J RAJAS are the foods that activate the nervous system, not recommended for Sadhaks who want to deepen their meditations (onion, garlic, egg, etc.).

🍗 TAMAS, are the foods that create a lot of impurity in our system (meat, fish, ham, etc.). These should be avoided. 🥛 Pure milk taken directly from the cow is quite SATTWA, as are its derivatives (butter, ghee, yogurt, milk kefir, etc.).

🥗 Another important thing to understand about food: for a person to reach the Prana of the Universal System (while unable to access the Prana from his subtle body) he will need a food rich in Prana, found in fresh, vegetable foods (preferably raw) and fruits. (Swami Nardanand, Satsang / POA-2012) 🧘🏻‍♀️The Shaktipat Meditation System, through Shakti Maa, uses our pranic energy to do the job of cleaning the impurities in the 72,000 nadis existing in our human system (energy channels). Based on this, we guide this food during our retreats, whether in person or virtual.
