A toast to the crazy

Unlimited! Every madman is like that. Always do things differently, play games, be adventurous, brave and traveler! I've seen crazy quit his job just because he wanted to travel around Europe, I've met crazy that is three days without contact with anyone, alone, no word, being in silence during the time he has spent there. I saw madmen traveling alone to unknown countries of Muslim or Eastern culture; They went there because they wanted to know more of a different view of the world, simply wanted to change their concepts and paradigms. I also met the crazy geniuses of music, who seem to hear frequencies beyond human capacity and react to these sounds creatively and sublimely.

I live with creative geniuses who think outside the box daily. Or rather, they know that the box doesn't even exist! People who at a simple lunch have the idea of changing the culture of reading a country, with a simple attitude, but beautiful and intelligent. Madmen who truly believe they can solve the world's problems and misery.

I see them everywhere on weekends training for the upcoming Iron Man, visiting them at their homes and listening to their projects to win the upcoming Cannes or Grammy festival. Crazy people who believe they can enrich the world not only with money but sharing their thoughts, words and talents. Crazy mountain climbers who consciously decide to spend several days in the wild.

There are also the crazy geniuses who defy the obvious, the status quo, who see beyond our vision, true creators and innovators, often not understood in their time. Everyday life slowly kills them and consumes them. Crazy is one who chooses to be free, obstinate and even a little divine. It does not go unnoticed, leaves its mark, behaves differently.

I've found myself doing crazy things too, at that moment when you drop everything, you risk all your money and energy in pursuit of a dream, at that moment when you realize that your routine should be challenging, and then: I quit, I moved, of friends, of city, of country. I did it because I wanted a spicier, tastier, crazier, more creative life.   Vitor knows life is too short to live it in the midst of sameness to normal and obvious. But of all that pleases me in madness, the best is that at these times you leave your mark on the world! So son, the next time your life is dull, colorless and you spot such a totally crazy guy, how about calling him for coffee?
